Pic below: Diego Ramirez Islands in the background, taken by Jessica earlier today, approx 60nm before reaching Cape Horn. This is significant in that it was the first land Jessica has seen since departing Sydney on 18 October.

What a woman! We are all so proud of you, you have the world in your hands Jess, so many of us just hang for your next blog and are enjoying your adventure.
What an achievement, rounding Cape Horne, you really are an amazing person.
No time for cup cakes at this milestone though, you'd be lucky to get a vegemite sandwich. I am so glad that you have got around there safely, we can put that particular concern behind us now.
When you have time you must tell us what the next milestone is and we can countdown that one with you as well.
Jess you are doing so well, keep focused on the task but have a ball doing it, now that's living!!
I continue to pray for you.

Keep safe, God bless.

Hi Jessica,
Just going thru the blogs and figured I'd say hello. So Hello!!!
Haven't got an up-date on the posts for a while, makes for a boring day. Really no excuse for that since I've collected so much of your material since you started. I love to go back through the video's and watch them, never get tired of that. Speaking of video's, your last one was great, you looked so calm until I caught the little giggle in your voice. A little of the excitement escaped. LOL.... By now you’ve seen your Mum and Dad, I hope you all enjoyed the time you got to spend together. I can imagine that all the Jessaholics are dying to find out how it went. Please don’t leave anything out. Of course with all that took place, and with your detailed explanations that could run into a few pages. LOL….. I’m game!!!!!
I still have a little giggle every time I think of how this all came together so perfectly, and you’ve still got the Falklands Fly-over to see. Yowza!!!!!
What a fantastic day to remember.
When the Shore Crew downloads all the posts, there’s gonna be a flood coming thru. I hope it doesn’t blow any circuits. LOL….
Really glad that you had such a beautiful day, you deserve it.
I hope them scallywags behaved themselves and didn’t get to silly.
Take care of yourself and go….onward to your next milestone.
Looking forward to your next post, whenever you can.
Loads of love and hugs, your faithful friend, fan and follower.
May God be with you and watch over you and may the angels keep your sails full, and I, I will keep you in my prayers.

Congratulations, Jessica, you've "navigated a safe passage through a graveyard of wreaks and lost sailors" according to one newspaper, the seas around Cape Horn certainly have something of a reputation! Congratulations again, I'll look forward to seeing your next update.

I just want to give you a quick congratulations on achieving the biggest challenge.

I actually had trouble getting onto the website because so many were waiting for the news.

I was up last night until I had heard you got through the passage and when the news came I got all emotional. probably because I have been following the blogs each day and reading just how much impact you are having on so many people.

You can now tick off one more on your to do list and it must be so nice to be now fronting the challenges of a new ocean.

I'm watching the today show as I'm writing this and they have your friend Don McIntyre on who is showering you with praise of what you have achieved so far and has no doubt you will finish this voyage. he's also impressed with your ability saying that Jessica Watson is what you call a real sailor and how you have managed to silence all of the critics you had in the early days.

He is also saying how impressed he is of how you are keeping on top of your boats maintenance, that you are taking such good care of yourself and that you are about 10%ahead of schedule.

He's also saying how good of a job you are doing of keeping us all informed about your voyage on the blog and the clever wording you use that makes the reader feel like they're with you.

You have obviously impressed this man and made him very proud of what you're doing and they way you are going about it.

You have done the same with everyone who visits your website and all the loyal bloggers.

If there ever comes a time when you need inspiration to finish this voyage you only need to read some of the bloggers comments or get on the phone to Don.

You go Jessica because you've made the World sit up and take notice of what can be achieved by someone your age with the rare mix of confidence, knowledge and ability that you have.

Have fair winds and seas to bring you home soon.

It's going to be a big day when you come home to Queensland. we're all very proud of you.

Very Happy for your progress and the Joy of your journey around Cape Horn. I must admit we're slightly distracted this evening as more news comes in about the earthquake in Haiti. A pastor friend 'a wife, and another Pastor & wife are at ground zero. Many are dead, and dying..Lisa (my Pastor friend Bill's wife) is a nurse- and this is one of probably a hundred missions she has led there over the years. Bill & Lisa had hoped to set up an orphanage there and did live there and taught school there for a few years. One of their daughters lives in the Dominican Republic on the otherside of the Island, Erin is a nurse too. I just got an e-mail from Bill asking for prayer for everything.
I hope you were able to see your Mom and Dad, and have a great conversation. The skies still look grey but the waters don't look as choppy as they were-looking at the picture of the Island as you traveled this morning.

Blessings Miss Jess..

The world is now your oyster Jesse. Some hard times are ahead but you are a much more skilled and weathered mariner than when you sailed out of Sydney heads. Great crew and bloggers behind you. Just give it your best shot. Can't do more than that. No doubt you are as Captain Cook did, keeping lots of detail in your log that will be a great help in compiling a great book when you return. He was also lucky as some others also did logs. Remember, you can never take too many photos, if you have the media,or record too much detail. Your are already a legend. Go Jesse BOL.

Hello Jess, I am 6 years old. Every day (since you left Sydney)I want to know where you are. I have been to shy to say hello but now I am 6. I flew to England on an areoplane and looked out the window to see if I could see you sailing around Cape Horn but my Dad said you were too far away but Mama said you went around it without a tantrum. I think you are very brave. I am getting braver too because now I can hang upside down on the monkey bars. (Mama helped me with this) Miss M
